if you’re in the Cape Town area and haven’t yet visited the scrumptious Four&Twenty Café in the quaint Chelsea Village of Wynberg, then I’d suggest you make a plan to do so! It’s one of my favourite places to go and the menu, ambience and pantry goods will certainly put this friendly café on the Cape Town go-to restaurant list.
We all have dreams right? Well, two classically trained Grande Diploma Cordon Bleus chefs took a dream that was born at the foot of the Eiffel Tower – over a box of macarons – and made it into a delicious reality. With the resolute objective to create every single bite in their café a celebration of good, wholesome and truly delectable food, the lovely ladies behind Four&Twenty have created a Parisian gem in the heart of Chelsea Village.
the beautiful mouthwatering pastries on the counter always stop me in my tracks – continue for more images and find out why the pantry goodies at Four&Twenty Café make me smile …
The Four&Twenty Café is accompanied by a pantry of local produce, home-made deli items, artisanal pantry-fillers, fresh daily pastries and hand-crafted confectionery. And I am so delighted that you can find The Chop Shop Onion Marmalade, my home made sticky relish, on the shelves too!
So next time you find yourself in the Southern Suburbs, remember to take a turn through Chelsea Village and pop into Four&Twenty Café for something delicious to eat – and don’t forget to buy a jar of my onion marmalade on your way out!
