colour + white = a home in Belgium

I was so taken with this colourful home in the city of Ghent in Belgium! It’s welcoming, fresh and beautifully simple, don’t you think? Inspired by a Scandinavian style, it belongs to the owner of interior store House Martin and was photographed for the delightful WoonBlog book. You get to see not only the ground floor living and kitchen area, but sneak upstairs to explore the very lovely study and bedrooms too. Are you ready? Let’s go!

There’s a great sense of open space and I really enjoy the retro touches. Now let’s climb the stairs and take a tour of the upstairs rooms…

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did! I loved the clever and economical use of wooden pallets as a bed base, and the emerald green painted floorboards in the children’s bedroom adds great colour. And that studio space? Too good!

Enjoy the day and I’ll see you again tomorrow.
