So whether you’re into cross-stitch, creating home-made gifts, or wanting to give a tired old piece of furniture new life, this Craft Special is certain to tick all your boxes.

And as a parting thought, isn’t haberdashery the best word? Makes me get all nostalgic about the times when I was young and made special trips with my granny to buy new embroidery yarn. Fond memories.

last week I shared a favourite café to visit in Chelsea Village, Wynberg. I hope you get to visit it soon! Today I’d love to show you a new design destination in the same road. Welcome to Curate, where art + design = inspiration. Sharing the same roof as the stylish Pierre Cronje showroom, Curate is part gallery, part shop where you will find a collection of delightful objects that will capture your imagination.

curate-2 Inspired by design-led museum shops and galleries such as the MoMA, Curate features affordable and fresh objects of desire that anyone can own. Founder Sarah Heinamann explains her vision,

“I want to create a place of inspiration, where everything captures your heart. Even our gift-wrapping is so delicious that you’ll want to buy something… just to have it packaged.”

I’ve fallen in love with the extravagant and luxurious Me & Mrs Brown jewellery collection – bold colours, flirty tassels and juicy gemstones defines The Tassel Collection, where each piece is special and unique. Alluring and visually captivating, the jewellery is utterly stunning on it’s own or layered with other pieces to create a rich, contemporary style.
