my office in Home Magazine

As a follow on from the our home in Home Magazine post, I’d like to share the feature of our office in the same August issue of Home Magazine. Take a peek at my monochromatic workspace in the article 3 Home Offices That Work

I chose a classic black and white colour scheme, inspired by Scandinavian simplicity and Mid-Century modern lines. The sideboard is from Vamp Furniture and the chevron wall is a painted feature which you might recall from my office makeover a while ago. The desk is a combination of an old retro desk I found in the back of a Fishhoek second-hand store, which I had resprayed in a black and white scheme, and a new piece of white MDF corner-mounted to the wall and supported by black metal legs to complete the U-shaped configuration. My workspace is functional and a creative place from which to work and I love the neutral monochrome palette. I can add colour to the space with prints on the giant cork mood board and the cube shelving above my desk is always bright and cheerful!
