the most beautiful bar in Jaipur – Bar Palladio

One of the most beautiful bars I have ever seen is Bar Palladio in Jaipur. We visited it on my Indian trip last October and I still think about the inspiring interior of this attentively designed European style bar inside the historic Narain Niwas Palace Hotel. The bar was recently featured on Trendland so I thought I’d rekindle my memories and share this hip eclectic Euro-Indian spot today.

stella jean – spring 2014

Yesterday I promised you a fresh new designer who has taken African wax print fabric to the runway with gorgeous success. Stella Jean – a native Roman with a Haitian background – was invited by Giorgio Armani to show her Spring ’14 collection at the Teatro Armani in Milan. As an up-and-coming designer, it can be difficult to find a springboard to launch your career amidst all the competition. Armani is conscious that the new generation of designers needs the support of established designers and has opened his space and invited young emerging talents to show their collections during Milan Fashion Week. I am totally smitten with her bold, vibrant use of the wax-print fabric mixed in with ginghams and stripes. Take a look and let me know what you think…
