A collection that caught my eye for its idiosyncratic appeal and effortless coolness was the Resort 2015 lookbook by Rachel Comey. I am really keen about mixing things up when it comes to wardrobe styling and this lookbook is a perfect example of how adding contrasting colours and silhouettes can give your existing wardrobe an updated flair. Casual with confidence.
More monochromatic musings, this time in the form of a beautifully rebellious collection from Erdem. Taking a different direction from the prim perfection we’ve come to associate with Erdem, the pieces in the Resort collection are rougher, less polished – but with an undeniably glamorous appeal to all that de-construction. Shot in a studio, the fabrics mimic the splashes, drips and brush strokes of the artistic background. I adore the overt boyishness of the brogue footwear against the pretty floral, lace and ruffles.
