Scandi charm – Copenhagen

Today’s post combines typography, Scandi décor and a home with heart. Are you interested?

Thought so! Let’s visit the Copenhagen home of Kathrine Højriis and her husband Thomas Bærnholdt who own poster company, I Love My Type.

It’s quite an art to keep things simple in a home while still looking like people actually live there. There’s nothing worse than an interior looking like it’s come directly from a catalogue. It lacks a story, it lacks soul. This home is minimal and pared down, yet you can see that everything is chosen with heart. There’s nothing superfluous but it still looks homely in a style that exudes that charismatic Scandi charm.

Blossom Type

With spring just around the corner – here’s hoping! – I thought we could end the week with some beautiful floral inspiration. Blossom Type is the delicate still life creation devised by Alice Mourou, Dmitriy Petrov, Olesya Korsak and Nikita Schukin.

The alphabet is crafted from natural flowers and is the first part of an interactive project where the making of every letter is made into a video.
